On Tuesday, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund sent out an email to supporters promoting a fundraiser it will be hosting on Saturday, August 24 in Albuquerque, with the subject line of the email reading “This is the resistance.” The event will feature radical leftist U.S. Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, and cost attendees a pretty penny.
According to the fundraising email, the most basic “political analyst ticket” is going for $100 a pop, while sponsors can choose to spend all the way up to $4,000 for a
“Champion Sponsorship” which includes “4 tickets to the VIP Luncheon (starting at 12:00 p.m.), 4 main event tickets, your name on event emails and event signage, a personal thank you from the stage, and a personal legislative briefing meeting with Executive Director, Sarah Taylor-Nanista and Director of Public Affairs, Marshall Martinez.”
The event is intended to “discuss the state of access to reproductive health care in the U.S. and to celebrate the work of activists across New Mexico.” This would most likely include abortion extremists like Adriann Barboa and Rachael Lorenzo, two far-left pro-aborts who stumped for the failed HB-51, which would legalize abortion on demand.
Lorenzo is remembered for calling all pro-lifers “white supremacists,” and targeting New Mexico Alliance for Life’s Elisa Martinez, who is both Native American and Hispanic.
The Planned Parenthood event, which is the clearest connection between Xochitl Torres Small and her radical pro-abortion stance should leave no doubt in New Mexico voters’ minds what side she stands on, and if she can be “impartial” when it comes to the abortion question. It will also show the willingness of Small to give in to big money donors in the hopes of being re-elected to the U.S. House.
The event invite specifies that the “Exact Albuquerque location provided upon RSVP,” but as new information arises, this post will be updated.
Is that legal let alone not ethical.
How can Rep. Torres-Small call herself a “moderate” while at the same time headline a Planned Parenthood fundraiser? Her days are numbered representing NM Dist. 2.
