On Sunday, Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), took to Twitter to try and criticize president Trump for praising successful businessman Elon Musk.
The senator shared a CNN article where President Trump said Musk “does good at rockets.” Heinrich first wrote on Twitter, “Yes IMPOTUS, Elon ‘does good at rockets.’ Guess what else, just like Nicola Tesla, that genius musk is an immigrant.” Heinrich deleted the tweet just a couple of minutes after it was posted.
He then retweeted it again, changing his phraseology to, “yes IMPOTUS, Elon ‘does good at rockets.’ Guess what else, just like Nikola Tesla, that genius Musk is an immigrant.”
Apparently, the senator does not understand the difference between legal and illegal immigration, since both Nicola Tesla and Elon Musk came to the United States legally. Tesla legally came from the Austrian Empire, whereas Musk legally came from South Africa.
President Trump is a champion of legal immigration and encourages it from all countries. Also, Heinrich fails to mention that President Trump’s own wife and the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump is a legal immigrant from Slovenia.
Heinrich’s stage-four Trump Derangement Syndrome seems to have gotten the best of him again.
