On Tuesday, freshman Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), and Deb Haaland (D-NM) reintroduced the “Health Equity and Access under the Law for Immigrant Women and Families Act” or “HEAL Act,” proposing sweeping regulations to “greatly expand immigrants’ eligibility for health insurance coverage and access to care, including sexual and reproductive health services,” meaning abortion access. The legislation previously failed during the 115th Congress under the sponsorship of Rep. Yvette Clark (D-NY).
The bill would allow criminal aliens to sign up for Obama’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) coverage and obtain the ACA’s affordability subsidies, which are funded by American taxpayers.
In a Guttmacher Institute opinion article shared on Rep. Deb Haaland’s Twitter, it states that “The bill would counter several intentionally harmful policies rooted in anti-immigrant sentiment & racism… current federal restrictions are harmful for immigrants’ health …”
Rep. Jayapal wrote on her Twitter feed that “health care should be a human right,” while not mentioning the migrant lives which will be lost by subsidizing the abortion of criminal aliens’ human children.
Marie Benitez, the senior director of government relations at the left-leaning National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health reportedly blamed President Trump for the 5-year waiting period for DACA recipients to receive public health insurance saying, “as the Trump administration seeks ways to instill fear in immigrant communities, there are leaders willing to say enough is enough—we need to protect the health and wellbeing of immigrants for the good of all.”
However, the left-leaning Guttmacher Institute’s data shows that immigrants have not had these benefits since at least 1996, so the criticism of President Trump’s Administration should equally be distributed to the last three presidents before him (Barack Hussein Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton) as well.
The bill is likely to pass the Democrat-led House, but its likelihood of survival in the Senate is unlikely.

This proposal is WRONG. While I understand why people want to come to America, wanting the American largesse, I do not believe that we own those who enter illegally anything. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, no abortions, nothing. Health care is not r right. It is bought and pair for like any product.
