Rachel Black voted FOR Critical Race Theory and then lied about it

In 2021, Rachel Black was a “YES” vote on H.B. 43, the “Black Education Act,” to indoctrinate New Mexico School children with Critical Race Theory.

Direct passages from the bill:

“…creating and sustaining equitable and culturally responsive learning environments.”

“Each year, all school personnel shall successfully complete an online or in-person antiracism, racial awareness and sensitivity training or professional development approved by the department that addresses race, racism and racialized aggression and demonstrates how to create and foster an equitable and culturally responsive learning environment for racial minority students.”

“All school discipline policies shall define and include a specific prohibition against racialized aggression involving a student or school personnel.”

Rachel Black Betrayed President Trump on CRT

These same Critical Race Theory principles were BANNED during the President Trump administration, with Trump calling them “racist.”

In an interview on Fox News with Chris Wallace, Wallace asked Trump, “Why did you decide to do that, to end racial sensitivity training?”

President Trump said, “I ended it because it’s racist. I ended it because a lot of people were complaining that they were asked to do things that were absolutely insane, that it was a radical revolution that was taking place in our military, in our schools, all over the place and you know it and so does everybody else.”

Not only did Rachel Black betray New Mexico parents by supporting Critical Race Theory in our schools, she directly defied President Donald Trump by supporting H.B. 43.

Dispelling Rachel Black’s CRT Lies

CLAIM: Rachel Black claims H.B. 43 was “not Critical Race Theory.”

FACT CHECK: “Racial sensitivity training” is Critical Race Theory, according to NPR. The leftist outlet wrote, “Racial sensitivity training, which addresses topics like white privilege and critical race theory, is aimed at creating inclusive workplaces for women and people of color.”

CLAIM: Black claims the bill was necessary to close the “black education gap,” ultimately relating to graduation rates in Black students.

FALSE: According to the latest data from the New Mexico Department of Health, which tracks graduation rates in New Mexico, Black students graduate at a higher level than white students at 65.8% versus 65.2%. There was and is no “black education gap.”

Rachel Black lied about her vote for Critical Race Theory and now is defending CRT.

But there is a better option for Alamogordo: America First Republican John Block.

John fought hard against Critical Race Theory before the New Mexico Legislature, the New Mexico Public Education Department, and the Alamogordo Public School Board.

Through the Piñon Post conservative news site, John organized citizens to help successfully kill two pro-CRT bills during the 2022 Legislative Session.

These included:

H.B. 126 — CRT in State Agencies

This bill by Reps. Tara Lujan (D-Santa Fe) and Pamelya Herndon (D-Bernalillo) would implement Critical Race Theory into state agencies, which mandates the “Chief Diversity Officer” of the state to “lead the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equality, equity and inclusion initiatives in support of the state’s strategic plan to create a culture of diversity, equality, equity and inclusion pursuant to Section 6 of the Diversity Act.”

The bill that would have put Critical Race Theory in state agencies thankfully died, due in part to the Piñon Post advocating against the bill. Our editor, John Block, testified against this bill.

H.M. 38 — Critical Race Theory and ‘Sensitivity Training’ for Law Enforcers

The radical memorial, which had around an $800,000 backend appropriation through the General Appropriations Act, would have implemented the first steps into putting Critical Race Theory and “LGBTQ sensitivity training” into the police force. It luckily was never given an audience before the full House of Representatives and it died. Our editor, John Block, testified on multiple occasions, both in the Senate and the House, against the bill.

There is no stronger fighter against Critical Race Theory than John Block.

On June 7, vote for America First Republican John Block to STOP CRT! Early voting starts May 10 at the Otero County Clerk’s Office.
